Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. A part of the Democratic Party, she previously worked in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) and the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) and as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a political contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she worked for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate. Psaki then was appointed the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director of Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was appointed press secretary for President Obama's 2012 election campaign. In the year 2000, Psaki became the spokesperson for United States Department of State. There was speculation that she would replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21However, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30 in 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 to serve as communications director. She was a part of the Obama administration until its conclusion.
